Malaysian Bodyguard & Security Guard's Life

As a Malaysian Bodyguard we face a lot of challenges and not to mention the ups and downs performing daily tusks. Bodyguard in Malaysia is not given the status they deserve and most of the time are being treated like a butler more than a personal protection person. Its hard to blame them cause there is a lack of real professionally well trained BG around these days because you do not need to join any school or take any BG course conducted locally or overseas to work as a BG. As long as you are ex armed force or police force without a criminal record you can count on getting hire instantly if you dont mind the low pay and long hours. I sometimes feel sorry for them because in a way they are contributing to the bad image already associated with security work. If only they make an effort to ungrade themself and look for ways to further their knowledge of BG work will they be able to lift themself up to a more respectable stature in society and be respected as they should be. I have a bit of advice for those who are keen to take up this career to upgrade themself in whatever ways and means and work towards improving oneself so as to give onself more value and get back the confidence of working in this field. One should not be choosy and take on different role so as to learn the ropes of BG work. Be hornest and hard working, always keep oneself well kept and wear your uniform with pride, be confident and inquisitive at all times and never leave any stone unturn. Be creative in performing your duties and reinvent yourself from time to time never making it a routine which after some time will become boaring and you loose interest as well as your job. Carry yourself with pride by not arrogant, be humble and helpful to your fellow workers and serve you clients with deligent and not forgeting a big smile. Its not easy to do every thing at one go but have a plan and see what works and what dose not work. Remember to put your heart into your work and you will reap from what you have sow many many folds. OM MANI PAT MI OMN
Bless all. Jack Yin
